Thank you for checking out this site.
This site for for you who I meet, in the world, at open house on the first Saturday of the month and wondering the aisles of the store.
You have expressed the desire to learn to knit or want to take your knitting to the next level. You can do that by taking higher level classes and this is what this site is for.
When you go to the calendar page the listing of current classes is there. Feel free to click through to see descriptions of classes.
You need to go into the store to register for classes and I suggest you do that as soon as you know you want to take the class. We need three people registered, in order to conduct the class. If three people have not signed up by 24 hours ahead of time, the class will be cancelled.
Please check back often, since I plan on growing this site into something interesting.

What you will learn:
Review of how to cast on and knit.

How to work a short row
How to knit into front and back of the same stitch (kfb)
How to knit two stitches together (k2tog)
How to use stitch markers
Supplies: 3 (85 grams or 3 ounces) balls of #5 bulky yarn.
1 pair size 10 needles or size10 circular needle
1 stitch marker
1 large eye needle to weave in ends
The first class happened on January 8 at the Concord, CA store and everyone really enjoyed it. When we read through the directions everyone was sure they wouldn't be able to create the piece.
This is modular knitting, which is similar to building blocks with pieces built on top of one another. The sections are made without seams, like magic.
This is a very challenging and interesting project to make.
There are three more classes:
- Friday January 27, 5:00-8:30 pm
- Wednesday February 15, 3:00-6:00 pm
- Tuesday February 28, 5:00-8:30 pm
Come for the fun and bring a friend.
